Homeless Services
In accordance with the federal McKinney-Vento Act, the College Community School District provides support to families who are experiencing homelessness. If your family lives in any of the following situations, you may qualify for certain rights and protections: a homeless shelter, doubled-up with other people, car, park, empty building, or bus, motel or campground.
Students experiencing homelessness have the right to: a free, appropriate public education with immediate enrollment in the local school or school of origin with transportation and educational services comparable to those provided to other students, according to your children’s needs.
